Day 1: From the Swiss border or any Swiss airport you take the 2nd class train to Goldau and travel further by cogwheel railway up to Rigi Kaltbad. Stay overnight in Rigi Kaltbad.
Day 2: Excursion to Mt Rigi by cogwheel rail and cablecar. Overnight at Rigi Kaltbad.

Day 1: Arrival in Zurich or Geneva by train 2nd class. Overnight at Zurich or Geneva.

Day 7: Train from Zermatt to either Zurich or Geneva. Overnight at your chosen destination.

Day 5: Board a train to Italy. Overnight at Rome.
